OOH, AAH, PAT MCGRATH, SAY OOH AAH PAT MCGRATH!

so a lady in college today mentioned this woman's name. we were having a sort of meeting with the fashion and media make up class to organize our looks for our first fashion shoot. she's not irish, surprisingly with that name. she was raised in northampton, in england. she's had no formal training in fashion or make up, only a year long art foundation course. she claims to love the industry that she has been working in for many years because it's constantly changing, it is never boring or predictable, every show and every shoot is different. she has done lots of prestegious work, which started off with her breakthrough while working with the then editor of iD magazine, edward enninful (early 90s). she has also worked with prada, miu miu, d&g, and comme des garçons. john galiano is also a big fan of her work. working with him led to her being known for her powder painted drenched bodies (does this sound right?), vinyl lips, and latex petals stuck to faces. vogue, alongside other commentators, have called her the most influential make up artist in the world. which is a pretty big deal, i would think? anyway i won't go into detail i don't know whose shows these are from but appreciate! all the same.
