i went to the NCAD Halloween Ball last night, we didn't get into town until like 11, where we stopped off at Burger King to break the seals. we headed on down to the turk's head where this thing was kicking off, i was pretty hesitant about going in the first place because i knew everyone would have made such an effort, i wore black acid wash leggings, a body con skirt, plain white v-neck t shirt, charcoal hoody, a camo bomber jacket, and Nazi boots. i was GI Jane. with two green finger stripes across each side of my face.
i had fun. there were some strange faces there but we smashed some pumpkins and got the goodies.

i watched a clip of "Fearne and... Peaches Geldof" earlier. i was actually looking forward to seeing it, because i'd never seen Peaches in any kind of interview. she's a self proclaimed scientoligest now and insists that it's all about making yourself a better person. i actually felt awkward watching it, she's very rude, with comments like ''that's how mediocre your existance is?'' ''i don't know what to talk about today.'' don't get me wrong she's lovely to look at but as far as speaking goes i think she lives up to her spoilt brat reputation.

I can't credit anyone for this picture because I don't know who took it but I stole it off Peaches Geldof's twitter after a lurk.

yesterday i went to see couples retreat with mama bear. probably not the best movie to go see considering the recent break down that's in the makings right now. i really enjoyed it anyway, Vince Vaughan is such a funny guy. marriage seems tough though, i don't think i can see myself settling down like that. i never wanna settle.
not for anything, not even for a meal that set my dad back €16.05 today, excuse me? for a JUNIOR chicken burger, chips, bbQ sauce, and 2 bottles of water? i can safely say i wont be venturing into GBK ever again.
i have no plans for halloween. it is on saturday. my mam is going away and my dad will not be home so i will either be alone with my dog... or be with my Biff watching movies drinking cans, or be having a party with some people and a dj...? i doubt it will be the last one.

i'm nearly half way there with my collar that i have to make for college. i actually enjoy sewing... quite a bit. i don't know whether or not to spray paint it so it looks "futuristic" or to leave it as it is. it's kind of floppy the way it is now, so maybe i'll spray it. or harden it. i don't know if i should cut up an old necklace and use the clasp and chain or else use ribbon. i'm thinking ribbon would be more 'victorian heiress' but we'll see. i guess i could try both. then onto my botanic headpiece!
oh, college!

This is super old but...

i only came across this unbelievable editorial tonight from W Magazine back in February, London's "it" girls at their best. peaches and daisy, mainly. i've only ever seen the other two beauties, eliza cummings and portia freeman for the first time this evening, as far as i know. anyway i'll post the images that i got off (http://cyanatrendland.com/)

serving their time for whatever reason and looking great while doing so. i think the dirty metal head slash hint of victorian princess trend fits in well, with their black smokey eyes, backcombed hair, frilled blouses and big bows. certainly looking forward to seeing more of eliza and portia.

thanks E! News

La Chapelle

Last name origin & meaning:
French: topographic name from la chapelle ‘the chapel’.

I went to his exhibition yesterday evening, set up on the ground floor of Connaught House on the Burlington Road. A huge empty space, like a car park but with full length glass panes. Like any other exhibition really, white walls, spot lights, "no photography allowed". Obviously I got some flicks though... would have liked one of The Pieta with Courtney Love but alas... we had to go. There were only 4 of us, which was pretty devastating for our tutor, the fact that nobody bothered.
Anyway, we enjoyed ourselves. She told me I was VERY observant. Which I am, have to say. The Rape Of Africa was pretty decent, too. I love the fact that there are no definite meanings of any photograph, only those in the mind of the owner. But your immagination runs wild, when you're standing in front of these pictures. And you're trying to figure out what these talented people were thinking when they put these scenes together. Clever man.

You would bet your life that these photos weren't taken on a Canon EOS400D. Soz for the shit quality.

In other news, I'm loving college, and I'm getting to know some of the nicest people ever. I'm so happy I decided to go for it. I missed being creative and mingleing with different people. I've been doing some fashion shows, Harvey Nichols and Fashion Extravaganza 2009. I've met some awesome people so far and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year throws at me.
Working a dirty job still, I guess this is why I'm doing my course though, right? I'm gonna try get some sick work experience, maybe at a magazine, or back in A|Wear. Fingers crossed.
I love my baby, I hate "Play TV", want a fucking fur coat, and for my Kit to come.

Love, x.
