FINGERS CROSSED.

i went for an interview today for a fashion and textile portfolio course in colaiste ide. i had already been for one earlier this year but i wasn't offered a place because i never brought any work with me. i was told to go back 2 weeks after with some stuff to show but i never did.
so today i went and brought some sketches and was offered a place. only problem is, the course is full. registration day is tomorrow so she has to wait and see how many turn up out of 25, and call me then to let me know where i stand. i don't know how much it costs or what i'm going to do about work but fingers crossed something works out.
i need something to motivate me. or something that will allow me to climb.

at this stage, i'm just going to stop pretending i'm not, because i definitely am beginning to appreciate edward cullen. when i say edward cullen i actually mean him, not robert pattinson. well maybe robert pattinson... i don't know. all i do know that he is a great looking bloke. bloke? ha ha. i thought twilight was completely over rated before i even went to see it. as we were walking into the cinema i asked sean "what if this movie is so bad that we have to walk out in the middle of it?" i was very wrong. i enjoyed it alot. and i'm really looking forward to new moon.

i also went to see inglorious basterds yesterday, i thought it was awesome. i love every single song in every single tarantino movie. ever. what a hero. i also love how he emphasizes all the different noises, like at the beginning when hans is in the guys kitchen asking him about jews, and he asks for a glass of milk and you can hear the daughter opening the lid of the bottle and pouring the milk, and when he picks it up you can hear his leather jacket creasing as he goes to drink it. i'm actually going to download all the soundtracks to his movies.

this blog is long enough. bye.

I'm embarrassed. I've fuck all to write about.

www.eyesuckink.com, i remember being really into this guy his name is alex pardee. he done all the art work for the used's album "in love and death". some of it is pretty unbelievable. there's a link to his blog on the website.
i'm on antibiotics since monday for a viral/bacterial infection. i'm not sure which though? i don't think the doctor was either. i had the worst headache ever all day today, it felt as if my skull was squishing my brain. there's so much going on up there i wish i could just relax. take it easy.
sean got a new puppy yesterday she's a cross between a springer and a cocker spaniel. maybe some day her and my dog can have hot sex and make more gorgeous pups. he hasn't decided on a name yet. i think sadie is perfect, the original name he suggested. but now he's leaning a bit more towards gacy...

i'd rather not think of this guy when i say her name. sadie just works. she's black. i love her.
i still have to see inglorious basterds. i haven't heard anything about it though.

i have an interview for a fashion and textile portfolio course on monday. i should be drawing right now but i've no clue where to start.
i have a funny feeling in my ribs, i wish it would leave me alone.

Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today.

MTV's Laura Whitmore teamed up with impulse and a|wear to make a 20 piece capsule collection. i checked it out today thinking it wouldn't be any use but i was wrong. i don't enjoy her very much in general so i wasn't expecting much. to my delight there were a few nice bits. i used to work for a|wear, but typically when i did, they weren't as decent as they are now, so my discount could have been put to better use had i been working for them now. there's a military jacket that doesn't look as if it should be €70, but here are pictures of a few other bits that i particularly like.

also when sean had me driving all around dublin for him looking for car parts we went to this industrial estate in walkinstown. there's a unit in there called 'suburban dolls' that i came across that sells little one off vintage pieces. i think the website is http://www.perkuponline.com/
they have some really nice bits!

i bought some suede chestnut ankle boots in penny's today for €19 and couldn't even get my fucking foot in it. so angry.

there's nothing else to say as far as today goes i don't think. goodnight!

One More Chance.

both video and song are absolutely un-fucking-believable.

also, i think lily allen looks great in the new photos for Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld obviously is oblivious to everything she used to be about. don't get me wrong, i am very fond of lily, but come on. i'd say poor coco would be turning in her grave.

The sick soon come to understand that they live in a different world from that of the well and that the two cannot communicate.

hi to anyone who reads.

FRIDAY: i got paid, 900 sweet ones. i don't have much left. me and sean went into town for a couple of hours. i finally got a chance to see american apparel. the shop is huge it looks really well. there is, however, an awful vibe. it all seems very uncomfortable. i wouldn't shop there anyway, purely because of the ridiculous prices. but then again i am glad we have one, just incase i do ever need a mesh neon leotard.

SATURDAY
: i had to work in drogheada. it was a nightmare the parking ended up costing me close to €15. but i did go into a charity shop on my break and get this gorgeous little beige handbag for €3, and a t-shirt with rose print on it for €3.50. i'll get a picture up later on today of them both. i was super happy.

SUNDAY
: was boring. i went to work in town, got a charlies for my lunch, threw it out, got off early, and then got sean from dundrum. we admired his car for a bit. then went to bed.

MONDAY
: i got my hair done. finally. i'd been waiting so long to get it done. i think next time i'm just gonna go a different colour completely. it's so hard to keep. as much as i love it. maybe i'll change my mind though, again.

and today i'm off again, doing sweet fuck all for now. i might go shopping.
the next time i write i'll hopefully have something a bit more exciting to say.

i almost got sick today

when i came across Fearne Cotton's range for ''Very'' today in LOOK magazine. I had seen it a few weeks previous but i wasn't completely fascinated with what i saw then. there's two pieces in particular that i'm pretty sure i'd buy... i know i can't but i would if i knew my job was steady.
anyway here they are:

in the picture i saw of her wearing the dress (£59), she had black knee high socks on with black heels. but i think it's one of those dresses you could wear with 80deniers and maybe a nice pair of flat shoes during the day, or even little plain boots. i decided to just have a look on the website anyway (www.very.co.uk) and i came accross the coat (£85). it seems like the perfect length. i like the splash of red in there, too. not crazy about the collar but i like the coat as a whole enough to let it slide. 10.

also another website i've just been browsing through is www.desireclothing.co.uk
they have some pretty nice floral vests and casual dresses. some of the stuff is kind of trashy but the bad comes with the good i guess. it's super cheap. they have some paul's boutique rip off bags. wouldn't touch off them, in fairness.

anyway i'm going to get some sleep as i get paid tomorrow (fingers crossed) so i'll need some serious rest. so much spending to be done. i feel ill thinking about it i'm THAT excited.
i'll leave you with this beauty. she has the cutest smile.

Happiness: We rarely feel it.

I would buy it, beg it, steal it
Pay in coins of dripping blood
For this one transcendent good.

Autumn wins you best by this, it's mute appeal to sympathy for its decay.

i haven't wrote in a while.
i was in pennys/primark last week, it was probably thursday, i brought back a dress that i bought for €13 last month or so. i didn't have my receipt so i couldn't get my money back, which was no big deal. so in it's place i got two skirts, a top, and a dress. both of the skirts were body cons, one with silver zips across it (€3), and the other was nearly like a sequenced rainbow (€5). the top is lilac with winged sleeves and some crochet detail over the neck (€5). and the dress is striped black and white with a tie string waist and slouchy pockets (€3). i've seen some other really nice stuff in there, i'm not going to pay €61 for a jersey boyfriend blazer from topshop when i can get pretty much the exact one in a different colour for €13. the quality is just as good, and it would last just as long. even down to the little things like tweezers, socks, make up bags, belts. i wouldn't have half the wardrobe i do without it. and i will not stop shopping there. ever.

i found the new iD magazine today in Eason's in blanch and had a quick peek through it. props to Alasdair McLellan for the sick pictures.

i went to IKEA today for the first time since it opened, one word: awesome. and cheap. and very busy. there were picture frames, lamps, rugs, candles, STORAGE BOXES (which i have loved forever, for some unknown reason) and all sorts really, for pretty much a fiver or less. the furniture seems like super good quality for the price of it. they had this really nice creme iron bed for €120, excluding the mattress. but still.

for the bank holiday weekend my baby and i went down to leitrim to meet his dad. he has a boat down there so he invited us to join him. we met him down there about 9 on saturday night. we went to a pub called carthy's and had some drinks. we went to the chipper afterwards where we got a "portion" of battered sausages (2), colly, and a bag of chips. he looked after us. we "sailed" to some other town and had a look around some nik nak shops. we didn't buy anything, but we saw canvas's and some shitty paint. which we were supposed to get a couple of weeks ago now. but haven't had the money, or just haven't got around to it. we were supposed to paint each other pictures. i'm sure we will soon. heather and sean came down on the sunday evening and we pretty much done the same thing we did the night before. there was lots of sing alongs and games of pool. i had fun.

anyway i plan to buy 5 disposable cameras from the 2euro store on friday, or whenever i get a chance. i also definitely plan to buy film for mr. holga. and to use and abuse mr. holga.

goodnight, cruel world.
