(500) Days Of Summer. "Next time you look back, you should look again."

when i saw the trailers i initially thought the movie would be about 500 days of a relationship, 500 days that were like every day of summer, sunny and warm. bright and happy. little did i know, the girls name is actually summer and it was about the 500 days (hanson) spent with her. and the deterioration of the relationship over the days.
it didn't make the film any less good. the direction of it was fairly genius. we'll say it went from day 42 to day 116 and showed how much the relationship was changing in such a short space of time.
funnily enough, summer is the one who from the start told him she wasn't looking for anything serious and didn't want to put a label on what they had. all she knew was she was happy, and so was he. it seemed as if summer had the mentality of a boy, and hanson a girl. she hadn't believed in love, and said it was just fantasy, where as he was someone who wanted to find 'the one' and DID believe in love, and soulmates. their paths cross anyway and there's a twist, that i suppose is expected... as the movie goes on.
it's a really sweet film. it's something that everyone can relate to; love. you can see how it brings out the best, and the worst in a person. it's very real.
i love Zooey DesChanel. i love her approach to acting. she is not superficial, but beautiful with a lovely smile. thumbs up to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, also.


so, i get paid tomorrow. i've been sick the past week or so with a sore throat and a snotty nose. a flu, pretty much.
i'm hoping to hear from another college tomorrow or tuesday. i'm hoping to get my hair done. and i'm hoping to find a new job.
